Flotilla 8-2 Member Training

CG Auxiliary Individual Development Plan

Welcome to our Training Website. In an effort to ensure that all members have access to the most current training information, this site contains a list of directives and links designed to assist all members with training guidelines.

Take note, that this year presents the Auxiliary with a series of requirements that must be met in order to remain a member in good standing. Please take the time to review the information listed below and contact me if you have any questions or ideas that will help improve our mission.

If you haven't completed an Individual Development Plan (IDP) yet, that should be your first step towards plotting your training program. The IDP is a great tool. If you have any questions about it, discuss it with your Member Training officer. CG Auxiliary Individual Development Plan

CORE Training (AUX-CT) - mandatory

All members are required to complete six mandatory core training classes.  Those who have been in for less than one year need to complete all classes by the end of their first year.  Those who have been in for more than one year need to complete all but the Ethics training course every five years.  You can complete the classes on-line. Links to all of the on-line sites as well as additional information is on the National Web Site here. You'll find the FEMA and other great courses available under the e-learning tab.

Initial 4 Hour TCT/Risk Management 5-year Qualifier Course

Team Coordination Training (TCT)is a program that focuses on reducing the probability for human error by increasing individual and team effectiveness. This training is required for all operational personnel.  Email notifications will be sent when TCT classes are scheduled.

Required Annual TCT/Risk Management Refresher

The Team Coordination Training/Risk Management (TCT) refresher session is required each year for all operations personnel (and Food Service workers).  This training is a one-hour refresher session, which emphasizes crew problem solving and the seven key components of Team Coordination Training (TCT). This instructor lead session will be held at the start of designated Flotilla meetings over the next few months. Check the monthly Flotilla meeting minutes for dates and times.

National Member Training Compendium

The T-DIR has implemented the National Member Training Compendium in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. Its purpose is to provide a single source for ALL Member Training information. The Compendium has active links for: Manuals, Exams, PQS’s, and Power Points. It includes links to on-line courses as well. Additional information includes: pre-requisites, AUXOP credits, and instructions to access some of the password protected training websites e.g. AUXLMS, NTC. Information on how to use the Compendium is found here.

And last but not least, click here for a quick link to the Coast Guard Auxiliary Manual. Please ensure you are following the new guidelines.
