Internet Identity Policy

Flotilla 2, Division 8. District 5NR (East Region) 
    1.        As authorized by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 82 may maintain one or more Internet websites which may include social media sites. These websites are for the use of distributing relevant information to the members of Flotilla 82.
    2.      In the course of publishing information regarding the Flotilla and its activities, the names and or images of individual members may be included in the published material on the Flotilla's website(s).
    3.      Some of this information may be posted on public access (not secured by password access) sections of the website and hence be available to any Internet user.
    4.      The Flotilla 82 Command Bridge is aware that members do have a right to privacy and to restrict how the Flotilla publishes their names and or images on the Internet.
    5.      The Flotilla 82 Command Bridge will assume that unless notified to the contrary, all members will allow their names and images to be published on the Flotilla's Internet website(s).
    6.      Any member who desires to restrict their name and or image from Internet publication on the Flotilla's website(s) (and newsletters) and social media sites must notify the Vice Flotilla Commander (VFC) of their desire in writing. Notification by e-Mail is acceptable.
    7.      The VFC will then notify the FSO-CS, FSO-PA and FSO-PB of the identity restriction and these Flotilla Staff Officers will have the responsibility of ensuring the members wishes are respected when publishing Flotilla 82 information and images.
